Cannot Delete Print Job


Now you can go back to the Services console and right-click and choose Start for the Print Spooler service! Scroll down to the print spooler service, right-click on it and choose "stop". It simply can't. Been working on this for 2 days!

I wish they would have had more of an opportunity to delve into how people can save more paper and use less resources altogether. He said to open the control panel, then administrative tools, then double click services, then find print spooler, then click the restart for the spooler.   I have done this each I recently began selling items online and found that my laser printer was causing a number of problems. If you have a very important print job that is already in the queue behind the print job that failed, then deleting all of the jobs may not be an option

Now the print queue shows 0 jobs and the Printers folder is empty.  I go to print and the new print jobs hangs up just as before with status of printing, Brilliant, no probably not. I tried your fix for win 8 but access was denied. A little research on the internet will produce a great list of ideas you can employ to get your costs down and your efficiency up. Thomson's steps that he listed below, however, follow the steps on the computer that the printer is physically attached to. Finally neaded to crack it and your advice worked!

I downloaded it (it's free and took only a minute or two), rebooted (just for the heck of it), requeued my document (a test page to start) and everything is working This is even truer if the systems are all networked together and there are several users who all share a printer. Step 1: First go to Start, then Run and type in services.msc. The indestructable document in the print queue has driven me mad on several occasions but your fix zapped it immediately. Oftentimes the queue will lock up or maybe even revert back to an old job. More info on our disclosure page.

In short your print queue gets jammed - neither can you print anything nor cancel the pending print jobs. I found that it is easy to correct in Win 7 thanks to Thompson's lead. It resolves the problem.  Hope this helps. Then all you have to do is run the batch file anytime you want to clear out the print queue.
