Cannot Deploy Template Unable To Access File

Reply Luke said October 8, 2013 at 12:56 Hello Anton, Have you the info for moving the files in Step 4 and does it rename the files to match the VM? I tried editing the file, but when ever I initiated a clone the hostIp was changed again to the old value. How do I recover the templates? Installed my operating system, and made the required customisations, shutdown the machine and exported an OVA template through vSphere - excellent, how easy!

Unable To Access File Vmdk Since It Is Locked

I was able to resolve by editing the lastly created vm's .vmx file so that it pointed to its own .vmdk file instead of the template vmdk. I could not deploy from it. Go to locked VM folder: # cd /vmfs/volumes/DATASTORE_NAME/LOCKED_VM_NAME# cat vmware.log | grep lock One line reported this specific error: VigorSnapshotManagerConsolidateCallback: snapshotErr = Failed to lock the file (5:4008) After a brief It either does not exist, the server software is not responding, or there is a network problem."
