Click Ok to exit ASDM. removing that and installing JRE6u7 fixed the problem. Setting the Defaults for PUTTYPutty is is a great piece of software. Asdm Was Unable To Load The Firewall Configuration I tried the JRE v11 upgrade but that didn't help either.
Also, your instructions for the JNLP client don't work for me. He has over 20 years in IT, in wide range of employers working as a freelance consultant including Finance, Service Providers and Online Companies. I don't know about JRE6u13, I stopped using Windows now and only use MAC OSX, so no longer have to put up with Windows problems. Unconnected sockets not implemented.
