Make sure DNS Client is Started and set to Automatic. One of the snags I kept running into, and could not get past, is receiving the message that said "Requested operation requires elevation". Then properties of the IPv4 protocol, Advanced, WINS tab. Any ideas?

Type netsh winsock reset in the Command Prompt , and then press the Enter key. i had some problem with my computer so i started recovery with help of CD (HP) 24 hour the progrmme continued.I stopped it and tried withcing on it did witch on I am using OS Vista. You may have to give permission for this to run.

Most likely cause of being unable to flushdns is that the dns service is not actually started. After a lot of fiddling I found that disabling NetBIOS via TCP/IP helps. You will see the following confirmation: Windows IP Configuration Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache. He just needs to alter the DNS entry .Setting alternative DNS address as primary address will solve the issue instantly.
