To use a standard compression for all applications, set the VGLTransport to compress-method in /etc/bumblebee/bumblebee.conf: /etc/bumblebee/bumblebee.conf [...] [optirun] VGLTransport=proxy [...] You can also play with the way VirtualGL reads back the Reload to refresh your session.
